About Us

Part of the Community

Home From Home Housing Association (HFH) is a BME women-led social landlord working to end homelessness for women and children. Based in Newham, we provide safe, supported housing for single mothers, families, and individuals in need. We serve a diverse community and are committed to meeting the needs of Black and ethnic minority residents. We work closely with the local authority, partner landlords, the Social Housing Regulatory Authority, and voluntary groups, but above all, we listen to our tenants.

A Place to Settle, a Place to Grow

HFH offers both temporary and permanent homes for young single mothers, families facing homelessness, and others in urgent housing need. Our mother and baby project provides housing to new mothers in need, while we also manage 12 additional properties for local housing partners, extending our reach and support. Our approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based. We walk alongside the people we house, helping them build confidence, rebuild their lives, and move toward independence. Our services are culturally responsive, designed to respect lived experience and promote dignity, stability, and long-term wellbeing.

Looking Forward, Staying Grounded

We are proud to work in partnership with larger social housing providers and external stakeholders. These relationships ensure our services remain aligned with best practice, continuously improving, and responsive to the evolving needs of those we serve. HFH strives to anticipate, improve, and innovate, not only in what we provide, but in how we deliver it. We offer cost-effective services from a strong and secure financial foundation, allowing us to grow sustainably while remaining rooted in our core values.

Looking ahead, with strong partnerships, sound finances, and a clear mission, we continue to grow. Our latest project is a new Social Enterprise, co-produced for young people leaving care, which will extend our work to prevent homelessness and create meaningful opportunities for those who need them most.
